Weorder
About
After-sales service for manufacturers to provide a tesla-like customer experience while capturing customer data.
Weorder is a whitelabel app solution for restaurants, providing the possibility to have your own
application/website that provided ordering either for take-away or dine-in.
As the design manager, I developed the following for Weorder during my time
Complete rebrand of existing brand identity.
- Designed a full-fledge design system, including brand manuals.
- Complete redesign and UX overhaul of restaurants admin panel
- Complete redesign and UX overhaul of restaurants whitelabel solution.
Above was all accomplished through user research, UX analysis's and rapid prototyping.
Branding
As part of joining Weorder they were just about to transition from Snappit (previous company name) to Weorder and needed a new brand identity.
Together with the CEO we explored multiple different directions, but one thing stood out later on which was a pineapple, the reason being is that pineapples were back in colonial times used as a gesture of good hospitality, something that Weorder took dearly and was one of the most important things to solve for a food ordering app, good hospitality.
The brand consisted of 2 plays, the logomark which was the pineapple itself and the logotype with the punctuation was used for more special type of marketing as in Weorder Drinks, Weorder Pizza etc.
Website
Following the brand, the website was modern with small hint of playfulness like the footer where the brand "mascot" logo is chilling in a sunbed with a piña colada.
Platforms
Weorder allowed restaurant owners to run their customer facing business from take-away to dine-in digitally.
White label solution with themes
Restaurant owners could use a premade theme or customise their app through CSS, below is there some of the theme we offered.
Cashier app
The cashier app is quite self-explanatory, it allows the restaurant to place orders both at the counter but also at the tables. It was optimised for touch interface and was running in the browser, making it fully technology-agnostic.
Kitchen app
A new innovative interface not seen live, at least at the given development time, it allows the orders to go into a dashboard designed specifically for chefs in the kitchen. The interface was designed to reduce human errors by micromanagement to-dos for orders, and also to provide clear insights to the customer and kitchen when the order is ready and how long you're actually spending in time per dish.
Admin app
One of Weorders most used features was the menu editor as it allowed to built items, modifiers and even global configuration that allow you to visually see what was happening.
Personal branded empty-states
Hitting an error or empty states was less annoying when you have a pineapple getting caught in the rain.
Partnerships
Order and pay directly in restaurants with the Scandinavian mobile pay solutions, Mobilepay, Bank Norwegian and Vipps.
Motion graphics
Together with our motion graphic designer we created multiple video demoing the platform.
